The high school boys basketball season is upon us and will begin on Tuesday, January 26. The regular season has been shortened to 15 games and there will be no sectional and/or state playoffs this season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. South Jersey Sports Zone has unveiled its inaugural Preseason All-South Jersey boys basketball teams. This year’s teams are headlined by sophomore sensation DJ Wagner. The Camden guard is ESPN’s top-rated recruit in the Class of 2023 and helped the Panthers finish with a 29-1 record last season. Joining him are several other Division 1 recruits and an abundant number of under-the-radar players.
Here are the best players in South Jersey in 2021. Let’s see which names remain on the list at the end of the season and which new names emerge throughout the course of this abbreviated season. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees.
